I have always had a close relationship with my father-in-law.  He was a dignified, military, intelligent man and we bonded even more in his later years with his developing love of painting.  He had been diagnosed with dementia and it was very difficult to watch him change, and feel anxious about these changes, so we started working on acrylics together.  George became very passionate about his art and it was such a privilege to be part of this sense of re-birth through Art.
